It’s been an exciting year for the Atlantic Award Group. In just twelve short months, we have expanded our awards to a global platform. This summer we took the ultimate jump and allowed everyone across the world to be able to nominate the extraordinary in their lives. We did this by launching the Global Awards Initiative (GAI).
Taking nominations worldwide is merely the beginning. It’s the path to presenting awards globally that proves to be the challenge, but it’s something we’re enthusiastic about doing. In 2015 we successfully presented four awards in the US and have laid the ground work for more awards in international destinations. In 2016 we hope to bring awards to other regions of the world as nominations continue to come in from all over
The GAI is only a part of what we do. Our focus is those in Atlantic regions. It’s no secret that over the past eighteen months we’ve slowly pulled away from our individual projects and the few that remain don’t fit with our current growth and outlook, but I can assure you that a lot will be changing in 2016. You’ll notice many things that you’ve come to expect will be discontinued, but in their place will be a hybrid of sorts. 2016 will bring the biggest award projects we have ever attempted and we look forward to sharing the specifics of those plans with you in the weeks to follow. I’m sure you won’t be disappointed with our plans.
I’d like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has been involved with our awards in 2015. Whether that’s as a presenter, staff member, volunteer, nominee, guest or recipient. We are truly thankful for your support. You can see a full list of recipients here: http://atlanticaward.com/recipients
Wishing you all a very Happy New Year!
